Continuous, Measurable, Improvement Systems

Define the System By Which Productivity & Quality Will be Measured

When we talk about Continuous, Measurable, Improvement Systems we are talking about continually improving the processes and systems as a basis for productivity improvement. Our processes and systems are everyday operating procedures such as:
  • The way we hire people
  • The way we buy supplies
  • The way we train people
  • The procedures for starting up a plant
  • The procedures for changing a pump
Remember, these processes and systems don't have to be written down formally.

In concept, about 85% of the opportunity for improvement
comes from process and systems improvement . . .
about 15% comes from changes in employee behavior.
If we work to improve our systems . . . productivity will improve.
